Pros
- Fully remote doesn't have to mean siloed work or feeling alienated from the group. Fleet does fully remote really well! Slack, Zoom, virtual happy hours, and team stand-ups keep us all connected. -Many companies claim to provide work-life-balance. I've worked for companies that would actually reject candidates whose criteria for a job included having work-life-balance (horrible, I know). Everyone at Fleet, from the CEO down, is supportive of whatever personal needs you have outside of your job that require work life balance. I'm a first time mom to a toddler, who will always come first! Fleet allows me to do that with zero judgement and 100% support. -I guess everyone says this, but the people really are amazing. Coming from a large enterprise known for their people-first culture and being a 'best place to work', I have ZERO regrets about joining Fleet. I was welcomed immediately and have never been happier with a career move! -There are few organizations that allow for immediate change, fast pivoting, high impact, quick product delivery, etc. Fleet embraces all of these aspects of startup culture. Customer feature requests, support requests, and bug reports are handled quickly and efficiently ensuring that we're delivering value constantly.
Cons
Not a con for me, but if you're not able to work in a frequently pivoting, fast-paced environment - Fleet or any startup - probably isn't for you!
