Pros
This team is full of great people. They are smart and driven. It is a pleasure to be around them. Our product and the service associated with it is solid as can be. The leadership is strong and the roadmap for our company is clear and communicated often.
This company definitely has the look and feel of a true startup environment - creative space in downtown Portland, dog friendly office, cool perks, great view of downtown, etc.
- Strong compensation plans
- 100% paid medical, dental, vision.
- Paid parking or Public Transportation - whatever you prefer.
- Unlimited PTO
- 401(k)
- Stock Options
- Generous insurance policy (just because)
Cons
Startups have cons. No doubt about it. Things change quickly. Direction CAN change with little notice. To survive in the early stages, you need to stay agile. At a HUGE company, these things aren't a concern. But you'll have concerns there you would not have here. Ultimately, it depends on YOU and your working style. If you are a startup person, if you are okay with some risk, and some operational growth pains this environment is for you in spades. If you are NOT a startup person, if you are comfortable in larger environment operating with anonymity, I honestly wouldn't recommend Fleet or our culture at our stage at the date of posting this.
