Pros
The salary was decent, that's it.
Cons
Quite possibly the worst company I’ve had the displeasure to work for. Do not waste your time with this sketchy, impersonal, dishonest, rude, and non inclusive company. Firstly, contracts don’t mention your role or responsibilities! Might not seem like a huge thing, but it basically means they can make you do what they want, use you for a certain task, and send you on your way. The company doesn’t give a damn about you, you are a number, and I’ve seen them let go of people with no reason whatsoever. You have no protection, so if you decide to even consider working for this miserable company, be warned! The company has no direction, and there is constant employee blaming in an attempt to shift the blame from incompetent managers to other employees. Not to mention the toxic work culture of constant belittling and managers who think they are superior to others. I even witnessed two managers talk about employees based overseas as if they were stupid, and even used belittling language and treated them like they were of little worth. Managers didn’t value anybody’s time, would always cancel meetings at the last minute or be late, and always complained about other employees… Managers extend probations with no good reason, despite providing great feedback! Clearly a way to use you for a task and then send you on your way. Needless to say, they use their employees and really don’t give a damn about you as a person. There is a high employee turnover, and it feels like a bro’s club where managers are only managers because they’ve been working there for a long time; they simply can’t perform as managers. There is no organization, at any level. Again, managers didn’t listen to feedback and always thought their decision was the best one, despite employees with better, more-informed ideas, trying to suggest remedies. They don’t provide you with the right tools, don’t listen to your feedback, think they know best, and live in their little bubble of insolence. Work culture? Doesn’t exist here! Slack may as well not exist with the amount of engagement that takes place. Nobody interacts with it, and people aren’t encouraged to interact.. There is no way of interacting with other colleagues, unless you want to take part in an ego-building competition where you eat as many chicken nuggets as possible…Yes, that was the team-building kind of activity that took place! The way the business conducts itself makes you wonder how it is still around. They just seem sketchy and unreliable, and definitely don’t have their customers, or employees, best interests at heart. They are more worried about putting band-aids on issues so that they can earn a quick buck. They are not customer-centric and don’t care about customer retention. I really could go on, but it’s so draining thinking about this company. I strongly urge you to not even take an interview here. They’ll entice you with a nice salary, but that’s where it ends. Do yourself a favor, and avoid this soul-destroying career move.
