Pros

Very efficient and transparent company. All employees are one slack chat away and will have the information you require to do your job without going through needless permission channels. Trust you to get your work done in a schedule that fits you best and do not believe in presenteeism. Perks are above and beyond great and salary matches any other company I had considered if not greater. Bar a very occasional visit to the office down the line allows you to choose where you want to work from within Ireland. Culture very welcoming and people seem to stay for a long time. US employees very respectful of time difference which is not seen in every other company. Work is never boring and ensure you are being challenged and learning but with the full support of a very capable team to guide you through where needed.

Cons

No personal cons. Life in a start up is always a bit more manic than a traditional long standing company which means more direct interaction with other departments - allows you to get answers quickly but also others expect you to assist them quickly.

Pros

Working at Flow, you get the sense that you're part of something big. The work you do matters, is appreciated, and has a tangible impact on the business. There's an energy among the staff that rings of commitment, enthusiasm, and focus on shared goals. The co-founders have a clear direction, thrive on feedback, and always take the time express appreciation for hard work. They genuinely stand behind the mindset of each staffer acting like an owner.

Cons

Hitting your groove in your role takes time and patience. On the tech side: there's much to learn about the cloud first microservices architecture. It's both simple and complex at the same time. Re the business: Flow's cross-border e-commerce offering is unique with much to consider in the compliance and privacy spaces.

Pros

The place would have potential if most of their full-time employees weren’t full-on narcissists and actually focused on working on the product they have and growing the company. They have a solid product and that’s it.

Cons

You’ll find yourself constantly confused as to who to “report to”. Both the CEO and the CTO are hardly ever available so you’ll find out soon enough that their full-time staff and pretty much anyone whose been there for more than a year will boss you around on their behalf. But the CEO and CTO are so horrible at their jobs as employers, they will trust their judgement instead of understanding and working with new hires. There’s virtually no culture. People have to show up to work for there to be a culture. The office is empty on most days. Zero room for growth. No reason to stay for a company that is resistant to change. Continually looking for funding and constantly firing employees - not a coincidence. There’s not a single person you can trust in this place. Employees blame each other- no collaboration. Benefits are horrible. The commute from the city to Hoboken is not worth it for their dingy office building. No leadership. The CEO is always saying there’s a high employee turnover rate yet they are the ones firing people and the rest of the people that quit were probably sick of the marketing and legal department’s attitude as well the attitudes of the engineers. The whole company is like 30 people and not a single person is pleasant to work with.
