Pros

You get to work with a bunch of really rad folks who are undervalued by upper management in the same way you are. They do build very great websites and apps... in the least efficient way.

Cons

All web/app development work is done in Vietnam. The best part of this job has to do with the very sweet and genuine Vietnamese folks you get to meet while building/designing a website. Notice how the "Approve of CEO" meter on Glassdoor is marked as "N/A". Surely that is strategic. My guess is that he would earn a 0% approval rating. The vice president is a solid guy, with conservative ways that keep the place afloat. The credit for any success surely all goes to a select few men/women who manage the tumultuous daily operations. You're guaranteed to experience long hours, a "what is going on here?" type mentality day in and out, 2-3 process changes in a short amount of time, and an exercised power distance. Biggest tip - The cream stays at the top here. Don't be sold on an absurdly low salary with the added perk of "bonuses". This company has a habit of rescinding contracts and firing client before the project can be completed. Their model is to get very capable and fairly recent graduates (with limited work experience) in order to pay them ridiculously low salaries with the empty promise of bonuses.

Pros

Solid leadership, and the feedback I get from clients is that we are highly structured, extremely well-organized, very polished and professional. Technical knowledge and experience here at Forix is elite. From a sales and business development standpoint, it's comforting to know that we have the ability to execute at a high-level for clients when they come on board.

Cons

Preparation and effort are necessary to succeed, so I suppose if you are a slacker, then those might be cons.

Pros

I guess work from home Fridays.

Cons

Forix provides virtually no training or ongoing development. Management micromanages every aspect of your workflow but saves any and all feedback for reviews. There is no constructive feedback or development given in the course of an average day. The company is a revolving door of bad hires, quality employees leaving and new hires being let go after 60 days for not “being where they need to be” after receiving virtually no training. There are no bonuses, minimal time off, the pay is far below industry standard for what is expected of you. Management is constantly changing processes and procedures to the point that the entire role can change every few weeks. Although it’s a small company, there is extremely little communication from the top down. The office culture does not encourage collaboration, feedback for leadership in any way, or transparency.
