Pros
Great to gain experience in an interesting industry Fully remote Good salary, insurance, two extra sick days per year
Cons
Expectations and pressure from the client to stay overtime frequently, most of the time due to internal chaos Nearly zero chance of career progression within the company It feels like thankless work - you are indirectly punished with more work and overtime for doing your job well. There are seniors who seem like they themselves have no idea what they are doing, contradicting themselves and gaslighting you into thinking you were wrong or they never said what they said. No tracking or acknowledgement of individual contributions, some people are allowed to slack off with no consequences, while others have to pick up the work. Working hard and doing your job well means you are "rewarded" with more work and overtime, nothing else.
