The other staff at the warehouse I was actually placed at were great.

During a previous quiet period, I'd been told that I would be given work as soon as possible and they would inform me of other changes. I was then given work a few days later, so I had trusted this to be their process. More recently, I'd taken off a week of paid leave. After that, I wasn't given any more work. I contacted them a few times and was told similar things. After a month of no work and living off aldi noodles I handed my resignation in and found work elsewhere. However, the key detail no one bothered to mention that the end date on my P45 was two weeks before I'd handed in my notice. That tells me that I had had my employment terminated without any given reason, and no one even thought to tell me. That's two weeks I could have been working somewhere else. I'd been in my placement for 9 months at that point, and had never had problems. I was even often complimented on the work I was doing. I still have absolutely no idea why my contract was terminated but the real insult was not being told, after working there for 9 months.
