Pros

One stop shopping convenience. Employee discounts. Many lo actions i.e.one in each community. Union benefits. Many internal job listings -- growth opportunities. Part of 3000 plus stores Kroger co. so relocation opportunities. Corporate center jobs. Weekly pay. Vacation and medical dental vision benefits.

Cons

Environment can get obsessive compulsive. Layout of stores can get messy and change too often. People in different departments can lack team spirit towards others. Managers and coworkers can exhibit attention deficit. Coworkers can lack speed of response and of transaction processing and can tend to lack physical fitness. Cash registers can be cluttered and overmerchandised. Physical fixtures can be unnecessarily big and heavy. Store public announcement system can lack clarity of sound. Offerings in deli and bakery can lack imagination. Pastries offered in Pete's or Starbucks can be plain and unappealing. Coffee sold can be too dark a blend. Restrooms not numerous enough . Music playing can be really old or lack quality. Lunchroom can seem too functional and unclean. Hours worked can be repetitive. Parking lots can be unprepossessing . New Kroger setup can create too many store assistant managers who walk around not having much to do.

Pros

I would say the most important Pros is benefits for all employees and employee's discount.

Cons

Even though it says "flexible hours", it is not really flexible. The pay is not fair. Cashiers in non-food departments get less pay than cashiers in front-end doing the same job. The management is different by the store as well as the work environment and culture.
