Pros

You get a lot of experience in a short period of time.

Cons

Helix struggles to understand the requirements to ensure minimal defects. There is constant corner cutting and rationalization of why things are done the wrong way. There is a disconnect between management and employees. New projects are constantly given to teams despite those teams trying to clean up messes from lack of resources on previous projects. There is no way to get ahead of the workload. Once a company goes lean they stay lean.

Pros

Stable company with broad global reach. Front office jobs not demanding, hybrid schedules and low expectations lead most to be 30-35 hr weeks.

Cons

At first this looks like a positive: you’ll notice that many employees have tenures of 15,20, 30 years. But that leads to a lot of group think and insular behaviors. They actually have a common statement among employees - “you’re not a Freudenberger unless you’ve been here 10 years.” Not exactly a welcoming statement to new employees. If you’d like to have your input and thoughts ignored for a decade, this is the place for you. Convinced they have great technologies, but in market terms, average technology at best. Horrific infighting between divisions. Management meetings resemble Klukluxclan meetings in terms of diversity. Pay scales below market, 401k match very weak
