Pros
Firstly, I want to say when I first started in 2018 that a lot of the reviews here have a point around lack of flexibility, working hours, culture, lack of SDLC, lack of growth, etc. However, after 6 months management listened to employee needs and brought in a drastic change to the above. Working hours shifted to provide more flexible hours, so start time / end time was shifted to core hours (10am-4pm), benefits introduced such as birthday off, more holiday days with employment duration, culture of the office eased off and became more outgoing / friendly. There are always going to be a culture shock at any new company you work for, and not every culture fits to each individual. There was also a review around not being understanding to family needs, which is a blatant lie. When I had my first born he was very ill and in ICU for a few weeks, management were VERY understanding, and allowed me to spend time with my little one when needed, and were very flexible with me. This is a family run business, and they are strong believers in family first. Technology side of things from my experience in my role they were open to new ideas, allowed me to bring in new technologies which would help the company grow and expand. With any new technology you always have to do a business case to show what problem will this tool solve, how much will it cost, how will it impact the business etc. The employees there are really smart, and know what they are doing, the actual product Friend MTS provide is one of a kind, and they are the leading company in their space. My personal interaction with the CEO is a positive one, he always had time to listen to ideas I had for the company, and was always available when needed.
Cons
Company is in need of a CTO to understand the technologies / tools required to really make the business strive. There is no real person who is in a position to make decisions across the board, and to actual say we are going to do X, and I want A, B and C to work on this.
