This team has gone through a lot of change in a small amount of time due to extremely poor planning. The finance management team have old fashioned views around working from home and mental health. Several members of staff have left the company due to this and no change has been made.
Progression is essentially non existent. You will have progression dangled in front of you, but it won't come. Your list of responsibilities will increase constantly, to the point of taking on entire other jobs. You will also be reprimanded for not competing the extra tasks as well as your regular tasks in the same time frame. If you do manage to do everything on time, you will not be acknowledged or rewarded. In fact if you bring up reward and recognition you will be put down, bullied and told you couldn't get the reward elsewhere.
Mental health issues are considered weaknesses even if they are work related. Taking breaks or time off due to these issues will be held against you.
Management will openly speak negatively about members of the finance team, which in an open office is extremely poor.
Working from home is advertised and contracted but to actually get these days is a massive fight. Management describe employees working from home as "off for the day".
You will be asked to do things in a way that is not correct and at times dishonest. Which in finance goes against the profession.
It is an extremely toxic team due to management and I would not recommend it to anyone.
