Pros
I spent 8 years at this company while it was going through a period of acquisition. Before being bought by GAM it was a wonderful workplace. Post-acquisition it was a completely different culture, with careless management
Cons
I took maternity leave to have my 2nd child. Baby was born with severe and complex medical conditions. When it came to the end of my maternity leave I requested to come back part-time. This was immediately refused and I was told my options were to come back full time or resign. I had no choice but to resign as my child needed a high level of care and medical interventions. A month or so later I was told by ex-colleagues that mass redundancies were taking place. I had worked at this company for 8 years. I couldn't help but feel that there must have been some knowledge of redundancies incoming by management when I was forced to resign. By the time I enquired about taking legal action I was told that there is a 3 month time limit on being able to start a dispute. But still, at least they sent me some flowers to say how sorry they were that my child was born disabled while inpatient at Great Ormond Street.
