Cons
The cons definitely outweighed the pros by the end. The work life balance is scary. If you’re used to agency life and are willing to sacrifice time with friends, family and by yourself to get ahead, then this might be a good fit for you. I value my mental health and time outside of the work week, so this looming expectation to work after hours (*an unreasonable amount*) was crippling for me. Seeing other people suffer mentally from this company is really sad to me and it’s also frustrating to see the SVP of Talent comment unsympathetically about how they value work life balance…Summer Fridays were useless in my opinion since you had to make up the hours throughout your week and I personally would prefer my weekends, early mornings, and weeknights over having comp./personal days thrown at us here and there. Like some others have said, there are way too many people at the top with little support below, which leaves people way overworked. Management is obsessed with billable hours. I understand it’s a business and the end goal is to make money and sustain/build client relationships, but clearly there is an issue here. No one needs to sacrifice their mental health for a job, I don’t care if it means you make a client a little unhappy. It’s the responsibility of the company to protect their employees and they fail.
