Pros

-Low competition for Training Developers -Flexible schedule (most days) -Equipment & software are provided -TONS of experience through trial and error. -GREAT first experience for a new developer.

Cons

-Long hours required to finish projects (customers are all F500 companies) -Low pay compared to most other companies offering similar roles. -Multiple projects & accounts to manage at once, with various timelines and expectations -No upward mobility with the training department, very few opportunities to advance within training. -Severe lack of knowledge within the company itself on training methodology and software. While GEODIS has many licenses available for Articulate Storyline, even the most experienced developers left in this company struggle to perform basic tasks within the software. -This is a salary position, so any additional time you put into a project will not be compensated. Tread lightly on advanced interactions, video creation, anything that will put you into a longer development timeline. Once you do a great job, you are expected to perform at that level consistently. -While you are expected to "manage" trainers in this role, you will often be given trainers with no prior experience or knowledge of training methodology. Do not expect to choose your own team in this role. -"Management" is the communicated focus, however the job is management and training development as GEODIS does not (currently) have any standard training program across its network. -Target audience is typically entry level, regardless of title. Many workers will have extensive criminal history, and very few are college educated.

Pros

You will meet some of the best people here and can learn the basics of being a freight broker if this is the career path you choose.

Cons

eadership is deeply ineffective and lacks even a basic understanding of how to run a successful business. There is a clear disconnect between management and the sales team, with decisions being made in a vacuum that ignore real operational and customer-facing challenges. While leadership claims to prioritize operations, execution is consistently poor and performance continues to decline. There is also a noticeable lack of accountability and consistency across the organization. Processes are not enforced equally, and favoritism impacts outcomes—particularly when it comes to freight handling. If you are not running TM freight, your shipments are treated as a lower priority and handled with significantly less care, which ultimately reflects poorly on both employees and the company as a whole. Overall, the environment is disorganized, leadership is out of touch, and there is little confidence that meaningful improvements will be made
