GHD is a mature company in a well understood market sector. Internally, the company has grown quickly and internal systems, and management of resources are struggling to keep up. The matrix structure promotes a silo mentality which worsens an already poor communication strategy across business areas, and working there can be extremely frustrating. Executive management prefers to draw from it's own ranks and keep people working in the business rather than on it. Little time is spent shoring up potential weaknesses and internal systems are ill equipped to support current needs. Leadership is poor, and relies on a top down approach with decisions communicated sporadically
