Pros
Benefits are good. Money is decent.
Cons
Company values are laudable. They want to be the most trusted pharmaceutical company in the industry. However they have created a toxic culture. Sales people are paid on how well they score on tests and other metics, such as the number of doctors they call on, the percentage of samples they give out and the number of targeted providers they get to programs/meetings. The whole field is cheating because they are scared. They routinely pass around tests; lying (inflating) the number calls made; getting doctors to sign for samples and throwing them away and running telecons that no one listens to. Reps are also subjectively rated by managers. They say the rating scale is not subjective, but it most certainly is. Integrity, honesty & respect, three of the GSK's pillars have never been so compromised. Cheating is happening. Senior management knows it. The just "turn a blind eye" to it.
