*Times have changed, the business stopped growing a few years ago, recent downsizing in the UK
*It’s slowly but surely morphing into another big 4 model, it feels like any other medium sized corporate
*There are very few Partners or CDs the team love working with, the values promoted are often not a lived day to day experience
*There is not a feedback culture with less trust in relationships than there was, yet the success of the new performance management framework relies on this
*Low growth has impacted the L&D model at leadership level; there is now a desire to slow down/reduce promotions, pay-out less bonus & make excellence harder to achieve
*Culture used to be the number 1 reason people decided to join Gate One, it was special & different. The team were highly engaged & went above & beyond. Sadly, that culture is now unrecognisable from what is was with many people saying they feel disillusioned. A lot of experienced seniors have left in the last 18mths seeking better growth opportunities with higher reward and/or inhouse roles with no BD pressures
*Leadership over the last 2y+yrs has been more hands off & feels passive, there is aspiration but lack of cohesive, practical application, ultimately resulting in negative year on year growth & the first UK redundancies in mid ‘25
*The supporting functions have far fewer development/promotion opportunities & small bonus potential
