      Pros

      Good working atmosphere. You can move up the corporate ladder and stay technical.

      Cons

      The medical benefit premiums employees pay are a somewhat expensive compared to other major government contractors. Don't like the pooled time off (PTO) but the 9/80 option seems to make up for it.

      Pros

      GD has lots of interesting projects to work on across multiple locations. If you want to make a career at GD, I don't think you would be bored because there is so much to work on. Work has been very stable over decades with no indication that that will change. Work life balance is also valued and generally very good outside of major project milestone deliveries.

      Cons

      Pay is competitive with defense industry but not private sector.
