At the time I was a new CNA and as soon as I started working here I was not trained very well and expected to have the same amount of workload as the more experienced CNA's. Nobody was willing to help me even though I apparently was given one of the "hardest groups" a lot of the time. (One time someone actually helped me with a heavy patient during the day shift but he said "im only helping you because you're new") They were short staffed a lot of the time and a lot of the times didn't even have tike to take breaks -in fact, that was kinda normal?
I remember one day in particular one of the nurses was barking orders at me all day with patients I had never had before and instead of giving me a useful report on them or actually HELPING me out she starts screaming at me for not working fast enough and gets the dsd to show her how "horrible" of a job I was doing. No other CNAs wanted to help even if I asked. They simply said "no" or "do it yourself" (im dead serious) I understand being short staffed can be stressful sometimes but the work environment here is just UNACCEPTABLE. There were some good employees that did help me out sometimes but most people there are just plain rude - its just the work environment here I guess.
Now that I have been a CNA for about 2-3 years, I have NEVER been treated with this kind of disrespect and I would not recomend this place to even experienced cnas or nurses. I'm glad I continued to pursue my career in nursing despite my experience here, after I quit and worked in many other places I was never treated like this again.
No wonder this place got sued.
