Pros

Pay checks are on time. Offer 401K, nice cafeteria in the building and good security. I don't have anything positive to offer since Koch bought the company.

Cons

Koch preaches Market Based Management, more like a cult following. I think Mr. Koch writes books to leave himself a legacy but the company doesn't practice what's being preached. OH! You will learn MBM wether you want to or not, but don't expect anything in return for all your hard work but a verbal thank you. You will be asked to go above and beyond but don't expect to be rewarded financially. Sure you will here the words Spot Bonus... Honestly I'd be surprised if you ever meet someone who received one. All year you are asked to provide accomplishments as well as missed opportunities and if you don't have any missed opportunities, they will gladly offer you options. Then on your reviews they use them against you to make you feel like a bad employee to justify not giving you a raise. You will continually be asked to create efficiencies and process improvements that will save the company lots of money but don't expect to see any of it in your paycheck. Koch companies put all their profits in their pockets or back in the business but DO NOT SHARE the WEALTH with their employees. You will work hard, give your all, and if your lucky you will receive some coupons.

Pros

Autonomy Remote work opportunities Decent Pay - only if you negotiate it

Cons

Zero training Poor leadership Lack of recognition Constant focus on “closing gaps” - you’ll spend all your time talking about less than 2% of revenue/profit Inconsistent bonus payouts with no metrics to understand how they arrive at a figure No clarity on how to achieve pay increases. Constant responsibilities added to your role that were not previously part of the role you were hired for.
