Company is cutting 40%+ of HQ employees. Focus is on short term 3-6 month performance. Company performance and culture has been in decline for 5+ years and come to a head in 2020. Political favoritism is now running wild. Leaders who have failed to successfully lead over the past decade are still in power and are cutting anyone who would challenge their old-school thinking.
Compensation has never been transparent. Raises only occur based on flight risk (i.e. if you don't complain, you wont get a raise). Bonuses are not based on any performance metrics and instead are paid out arbitrarily. HR claims it is "value paid for value created" but every leader knows it's just a bucket of money handed to each group and paid out based on manager preferences.
