Pros
The only nice thing about working here was working with the store manager. She was an awesome person. Beyond her everybody was an evil cronie.
Cons
- Minimum wage pay in exchange for working like a pack animal. - Managers show clear favoritism - Extreme pressure to meet unrealistic goals. Nobody wants the shoes, lets be real here. - Schedule cuts almost daily. Barely any work. Compounded with having to be on call frequently, meaning you couldn't organize other jobs. This was a serious opportunity cost. - HIDEOUS uniform. - Lack of awareness. The company is anachronistic in its marketing and the lifestyle it tries to sell. No one wants your ugly shoes. - GEOX really tries to push their brand down the throats of all their employees. Its as if GEOX is meant to become your LIFE and you're an idiot for not understanding why. - Managers would gossip incessantly. - Long, boring hours. Unstimulating work. - Unseeming room for advancement within the company. Again, this also tied in to the favoritism aforementioned. - I can go on and on. I remember going downstairs into the stock room and just breaking down crying from the misery. I know better now. It was my first job.
