Pros
I began working with GetEducated.com in 2007. The company has a social mission, to help consumers find and compare real data on online college costs and credibility. If you want your daily work to return something other than a pay check and you like the idea of helping create a more affordable higher education system for everyone this company is a great organization to be part of. Get Educated has allowed me to telecommute from home from day one -- a great deal for me as I am a young mom who's started a family since joining the company. I work with a get-it-done virtual team, all of whom live across the US. Though this is a small company (about 10 employees) raises are generous and tied to performance. This is an awesome company to work for if you can set and meet performance goals and take responsibility for your own work schedule. Everyone is required to think on their feet, but I like that. Other pluses are: pay and salaries above average, great maternity leave, family flex time and above average vacation and time off. We get Valentine’s Day and our birthdays off as well as extended family time off at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Best job I've had to date.
Cons
Many of Get Educated's employees telecommute so if you are not self motivated and unable to take responsibility for your own work then Get Educated may not be a good fit.
