10yWe’re sorry you had a negative experience working with us at GetInsured. Just to clarify, the company didn’t have two rounds of layoffs in 2016, though that may have been the impression. We reduced the staff of contractor-based employees in the Atlanta call center due to the seasonality of our business. Since they were contractors, they understood that their employment was not full-time and knew it was temporary to assist consumers during this year’s open enrollment.
As far as work/life balance, as well as your claim of how employees in certain departments may have been treated, we take these comments very seriously and want you to know that we have been looking into the situation. We aim to have a happy, team-oriented work environment and the behavior you noted is obviously not conducive to our culture.
GetInsured is a small company that does not require a large HR team. The HR staff in place is, and will continue to be, focused on new initiatives that continue to foster team interaction, the sharing of information and implementing new benefits for existing employees.
