Pros
I wasn't planning on writing a review, but with the influx of recent reviews, I feel like I should share my experience as well. I think that everyone at Gild truly cares about our people, our product, and our values. I think that we've had problems stemming from lack of direction and misalignment either within the leadership team or between the leadership team and other levels of the organization, but I feel like great strides have been made to bridge those gaps. Because of these things, there have been natural growing pains. I can honestly say I enjoy coming into work each day. I feel that we're building a great product and are listening to our users to continue to enhance and refine it.
Cons
The trend seems to have been to promote very quickly based on the perceived value of "meritocracy" which means that people can be promoted higher than their own skills. I haven't seen that happen as much in the time I've been here, but I see some people in leadership/senior positions that do surprise me. I feel like they care about us and their jobs but don't always have all the skills needed to be successful.
