Pros

Diverse, creative, opportunities to grow and excel in skills and salary, you get what you want to put in, coaches available to assist and increase skill levels, co-workers are amazing, fabulous leaders within the management team. This company has been fun and financially rewarding to work for. If you are not a morning person, evening shifts are available. I accepted a pay cut by accepting to work for blinds.com from my previous job and started from the bottom. The reason I did this is, because I read on the "Houston Business Journal" that it was rated as a place where happy people work. A positive environment with a pay cut vs. a negative high paying work environment was a chance I jumped on since I knew I would grow here. I ditched the high heels and wearing uncomfortable executive suits to come to work in shorts and flip flops if I wanted to. I accepted less pay than in my previous job. In a short period, now I make close to what I used to make without the stress and without the uncomfortable (I am going to chase a million $$$ work attire look). Big boo on that old job attire requirement. Plus, the CEO is a casual down-to-earth kind of guy. He is always considerate and truly shows that he cares about every one of his employees. Awesome, awesome, awesome company.

Cons

It is a call center so it can get a bit loud in the office sometimes. You can easily gain weight as there seems to be free food all the time. A mini gym in house would be "marvelous" to blow off some steam after taking a call from a not-so-friendly customer. Sometimes, the BIG BELL is dinged to celebrate a co-worker making a huge sale is super LOUD and I have to pause my call to allow the noise to calm down so I can continue with the customer. I get that is part of the culture and it is cool but, I can live without it. I keep my huge sales to myself due to the avoidance of the BELL announcement.

Can't think of any cons other than most employees must reside in Houston and I don't live there anymore.

Pros

Absolutely NO pros working here

Cons

Company is terrible. Favoritism shown, policies constantly change for the benefit of higher ups. HR is involved with associates there is no separation of the two. Managers do absolutely NO work. No raises are ever considered. The company refuse doctor notes if written out for medical conditions the company is POOR!
