Pros
In my position, GF offered an extremely flexible work schedule giving me the option to work remotely or in office. When recruiting, they gave me the option to live anywhere - near an office or not. I find myself providing help across multiple teams, so as an early career professional I am able to experience more than one role. I often have face time with executives, whether that is in meetings, during in-person conferences, or at team dinners/happy hours. Along with this, I have facilitated a healthy relationship with my manager and team. They trust me and are welcoming to questions and open to giving me the resources for my professional development. Since my hire date, I have been provided with outside courses that align with my goals and am on track to obtain a certification which GF and my team graciously provided the resource to do so.
Cons
At first working on my team as the youngest individual was intimidating as I didn't have your traditional "cohort" of young individuals around my age. Since then, I have found it does not matter who I work with, all are as welcoming as I was looking for, I also have started group with other early career individuals within the company that encourages relationships between members of different teams, so that community I was looking for was found!
