Worst place ever to work - Anonymous employee GlobalWireless Employee Review

If you're lucky you might get to work with niche technology but that's it.

I'm writing this post because I don't want anyone to go through what my co-workers and I went through here. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work here. GWT has been around for a while, but I don't believe they have ever had a successful product. Business is run with minimal cost and with no quality. You'll be under-paid here and would be called in to work on weekends and will not be paid overtime. You're also expected to work long hours on weekdays without being paid. There were also many instances where management lie to you on your face. This is family run business and everyone in the management is related and have no idea how to run a company. Many an instance employees including myself was not paid for months and eventually was laid off. Many employees had visa issues and had to eventually return back to their home country. This wasn't the case with 1 employee, but to many and it's a repeated pattern over the years. They usually hire freshers and international students on OPT/CPT because, the poor student's don't really know the labor/immigration rules and freshers usually are willing to work for low wages to get experience; both of which gets taken advantage of.

The only good thing is that you will be interviewed by someone who has no knowledge of wireless communications. However, he things he knows a lot.

This company is run by a family who do not have the knowledge of the wireless technology and they do not know how to run a business. The most horrible place I have ever been. The owners try to cut your salary as much as possible. No professional manners. They shout and yell at the employees!!!!! I was so shocked when I saw the managers (who are also the owners) yelling at an employee in front of the clients. They are bunch of amateurs . They overload you with work and they expect you to work during the weekend at least 4 hours per day without paying you for that!!! Moreover, you usually have to work more than 8 hours/day during the week without being paid for the extra hours. On top of everything, your work is not appreciated. Worse place I have ever been to. Do not go there. Everyone I know left the company in a few months as I am going to do the same.
