* You make $12/hr for three months of "training" then it's performance-based. There's been many times I've made decent money, but also often have gone months where my hourly rate has be lower than that of a fast food worker.
* Have to clock out for 30 min lunch break, also they decide when your lunch break is.
* Two 15 min breaks for an 8 hour shift, also they decide when that break is. If your break goes longer than 15 min you will be sure to hear about it.
* Everything is tracked and you time is heavily micromanaged.
* They expect you to be a robot in order to meet weekly metrics.
* You're calling people 95% of the time and receiving calls 5% of the time.
* Communication and bureaucracy between departments creates many obstacles for you and the customer as well, and they will not hesitate to take their frustration out on you.
* Office environment and management style is very 1950's.
* Dealing with customers can be extremely stressful.
* Turnover rate is about less than a year for majority people. Throughout the year you always see new people come and go. At some point the job becomes to stressful to handle for such low pay.
