Pros
Easy overtime if you want it, great coworkers, dispatch takes care of you, trucks are kept up to date and well-repaired/maintained. Upper management TRIES to show caring for their employees (bonuses for good work, fully stocked bar/door prizes/free gifts for employee's kids at christmas party.) Medical Director takes a real interest in actually participating with the squad. The Just Culture thing was a real delight. I initially thought it was a weird idea, but i've changed my mind, it's great. This company also doesn't care what color, race or creed you are. They are open and supportive to LGBTQ with several on the squad. They don't screw around with bigotry and employees who are openly that way will get fired real quick.
Cons
Restrictive protocols which can suck on long distance transfers where you know what needs to be done but you aren't allowed to. Upper management is out of touch often. A LOT of posting is really bad for your back. Ranges from understaffed to severely understaffed leading to poor response times/inferior patient care due to staffing levels.
