Pros

Hours. To echo a previous you do not have to work hard to keep your job.

Cons

Legacy work culture, not innovative, very slow paced. They struggle retaining talent because they mostly recruit folks out of “select” colleges. When they do recruit folks with experience, they have a hard time retaining them because they do not welcome change or diverse backgrounds experiences. Everyone that “Loves it there” have 35 years seniority and are sticking around for pensions and retirement. The younger folks are building their resumes. This is not the place if you are expecting a diverse or inclusive culture. Very “good old boy” network. There are no POC in the corporate office, so all of their diversity is within the factory population. HR began conducting engagement surveys and the results are poor two years in a row and they omit details from employees. Compensation is way below market in most cases, but I guess if most of your population started right out of college making $12 per hour and are now at $60k...35 years later they should be grateful 😏.

Pros

• New facility • Helpful coworkers & management • Opportunity to learn and grow • Friendly work environment • Busy work environment

Cons

• Strict new hire point system • Termination with no prior warning (I was dealing with the abrupt and unfortunate chronic illness of my sister as well as my mom on the brink of homelessness and it effected my attendance unfortunately. I was a 3rd shift sanitor so dealing with everything I dealt with, some nights, I would have to drive to and from work on no sleep. I was told in orientation that we would receive warning(s) prior to termination. I received zero warnings, and now I may be facing homelessness if I can’t find a job). • Really no other cons. It’s a newer facility so they deserve a lot of grace. It’s a great company and the effort that’s put in daily is evident.
