Pros
Working here has genuinely been great. Strong work-life balance, and the privilege of being on an AI adoption team that's earnestly trying to do frontier work. Most colleagues are talented and have their hearts in the right place, so there's a real sense of mission that's hard to find elsewhere in the public sector.
Cons
Bureaucracy and admin overhead slow things down more than they should. The talent distribution is uneven, and unfortunately the org doesn't always retain its best people. Too many reorganisations create instability and erode trust. Some of the most visionary leaders have left due to senior management politics, a real loss for the teams they built.
