Cons

The culture at Granite is like a used car lot. No, actually worse. More like a Pirate Ship. There are no rules, morals, or ethics. Its a free-for-all. There are supposed to be territories set up, but it does not work. The Shark Tank of favorites in each office get the "big fish" accounts. It is unfair to the new reps, to say the least. Managers will steal accounts right out from under you, or split it with their favorites. That way its not as obvious. "Oh, John was already working that one...tough luck." But don't raise a stink or you'll be labeled a whiner. Addressing it with "management" is a waste of time. They will always side with their favorites. Lying to customers, teammates, is completely OK with the owner and all that kiss up to him enough. It is really that unbelievable! Don't buy the big money they tell you is possible to make either. That's about as believable as the 4 and 5 Star reviews on this page.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
