Pros
Good experience to put on a resume to elevate you elsewhere. Red line stop in parking lot. Awesome coworkers. Quarterly bonuses and sales competitions to get extra days off. Everyone is on the same page that this place is a stepping stone.
Cons
Extreme micromanagement. You have to be there from 8-5 Monday-Friday and can not work from home. If you have errands to do during the week, plan on taking a half or full day off. Work life balance is nonexistent and you will burn through your PTO. VERY few people are confident in their jobs. Everyone seems to be crossing their fingers getting by. This is due to the company not providing you with any *useful* training and upper management constantly making process changes to every little thing you do. You will get atleast 1 process change email per day. On top of this, their focus is to pick you apart for errors. When you start, you’re thrown into the fire and have to ask your coworkers every single little thing. Also, your supervisors will be completely useless until you know what you’re doing. It’s frustrating to watch. They won’t even do so much as set you up with your computer. One of your teammates will be assigned to you, and they will have to set you up and train you from the ground up whilst not getting paid a dime more and having to be on top of their own work. Even if you finish your work or have NO work, you are not leaving Granite. You are glued to your desk from 8-5. If you have nothing to do, you are still expected to sit there until 5 PM pretending to be busy and utterly wasting your own time. To anyone looking to apply here- This is an easy place to get some experience on your resume. Build up your skills and get out.
