Pros
This used to be a great place to work. It's where you retired. So many workers have 20, 25, 30+ years in here but only stay because they're close to retirement. The people are what we stay for here, the production workers hold this company up by making the product. They are some of the nicest people. The pay is decent.
Cons
Office and upper management can't acknowledge there is even a production floor with human beings on the other side of the wall. They're trying to somehow move mountains and make an 8 day work week (yeah, figure that out). We were once a 5 day operation, that is long gone and we have been forced to work every weekend since the pandemic started. 2 straight weeks of 12 hour shifts would leave anyone exhausted. You don't have time for a life. Sorry if you have a family, you get to chose between them and sleep, if you're lucky. Hope you don't have any friends either because you'll never see them. No one acknowledges or cares about our suffering. As long as there's bodies on the production floor, humanity is overlooked. Some of us are mentally broken after enduring this for over a year already. Some are looking for new jobs, some are roped into staying due to seniority. Your choice if you want to work here, there are good sides... They're just getting harder and harder to see.
