Pros
it is a great company that was the first to innovate the plasmapheresis process. the people are fun and exciting. I haven't had too much drama with any of my co-workers, but I get along with most everyone I meet, and especially work with. The donors who come in are usually from all walks of life as its a great way to earn some extra money if you haven't done any of the "high risk" activities that most blood donation centers tell you to avoid. The donors can be a source of a lot of drama as they are told not to count on their compensation money as a source of income, because any number of things could happen to keep them from getting paid that day and many of them will get quite mad if they aren't able to make it through and donate because of a high temp or low red blood cell ratio and such. which can cause some stress but usually most of the problems come when the wrong employees get promoted over the ones that have worked harder to be more qualified for the promotion and may have been there longer.
Cons
management is very clique! you have to walk on eggshells for quite a while till you find out if you are on their favored side or not. Often people will get blacklisted from getting any kind of promotion if they get on managements bad side sometimes for even the smallest of mistakes. I have seen many people reach their ceiling as far as promotions go within in a very short time. They will work their hardest and in many cases be great and stellar employees but because of some small mistake or the fact that they don't like basketball as much as the center manager or any number of small and for the most part petty things, they will never be able to move up. my experience has been one of those who has hit their ceiling and won't be able to move up from now on, no idea why or what I may have done. in many cases the ones that get promoted get the promotions simply because they get along better with management. In many instances they haven't been around long enough to know the operations side of a plasma center to know how to effectively fill their new role, whereas the ones who have worked for the promotion know how to do the job and would be great at it if they were give the opportunity, but they have been blacklisted for some petty reason by management and will never get the opportunity to showcase their skills.
