Pros
In the past 2-3 years the company took notice of lower/middle management positions. Diversity and inclusion strategies to invite communication and provide and open work experience. Changes needed to be made in key and critical departments we depended on during covid. -toxic work environments -insufficient management. either we didnt have a manager we needed, or the manager didn't have the support they needed. whether its planning, engineering, leads, lower management. And in any company, there is a buddy system. Changes in our Long beach and Brunswick locations. -Cost Related -Moving forward from old to new/current models
Cons
Regardless of these changes, people are always afraid of what ifs. What you'll find is you d**ned if you do and you're d**ned if you don't. Accepting management ideas from other locations and departments allowed us to find where a lot of issues were. BUT. During covid, like any company there were layoffs. Soon after we had alot of demand and not enough manpower. Job postings were made to accommodate to the public vs the skills that were required. With this new issue, lower and middle management learned to adjust and implemented positions to engage with the public demand and tranquilize any intimidation there may be about working with an aerospace company like Gulfstream.
