Pros

Benefits Package and that's it.

Cons

Remote/hybrid isn't a policy, it's a coin flip. Whether you can work from home depends entirely on your individual manager, because leadership gives zero guidance or oversight. Same company, same role, completely different rules. If your job involves travel, the unwritten expectation is a 7-day work week. No accountability above you. Managers stack project on project with no one checking the load or what it does to people. "Family-friendly" and "mental-health-friendly" are recruiting lines, not reality. Reasonable asks — like working from home to offset the heavy work load to be present for your kids — get a flat no with no rationale or the "we are discussing" knowing that it will be no. Newer leaders run their teams harder, and burnout sets in fast. The culture you're sold is not the culture you'll live.

Cons

NO FULL-TIME OFFER! The recruitment process at H-E-B Digital is deeply frustrating and appears to lack integrity. Despite having relevant internship experience and receiving positive feedback during the interview process, I found that the company’s hiring strategy seems entirely reliant on prioritizing individuals recently laid off from FAANG companies. It feels as though they are not genuinely interested in developing new talent or giving equal consideration to qualified candidates who don't fit that specific profile. Advice for Management: Be transparent with applicants regarding your hiring criteria. It is demoralizing to waste time and emotional energy interviewing when the process feels like a box-checking exercise. If you are not actually hiring, do not string candidates along with positive feedback. The current approach reflects poorly on the company’s values and brand. Recommendation: If you are not a recent layoff from a major tech firm, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It appears to be their business model to prioritize those specific candidates over others, regardless of your personal qualifications or positive performance during interviews.
