Pros

The pay is okayish. They give a lot of free products to try.

Cons

-Too many managers and corporate jobs, yet the hours keep shrinking. They tell us the more we sale the more hours, but where are they? They have a program that takes away hours from the important laborers that deal directly with the customers yet I have 4 managers and there are tons of corporate people paid to come and criticize things they don't like about the store. -No one from DRO's, to Buyers, to Leaders, to Managers are on the same page. They are all rolling out programs and dont realize we have like a hundred from everyone else going on. During our store walks our DRO has us do things against the programs rolled out. He is grocery biased against the GM Drug side. -CID is taking away hours to make us do more as one person for what though? I though our slogan was "because people matter." The job has become extremely stressful because there is too much pressure on the full timers since the part timers are getting cut. There's alot of unrealistic expectations and programs to keep up with. IMI, ORT, WGO, MSI, MSL, Ads, Etc.....and thats for a regular non manager.

Pros

There were no pros at all.

Cons

My experience at the Frisco location was largely negative due to the store leadership team, headed by Stacie Sorenson. I found the management approach to be unsupportive and at times created a stressful work environment. I often felt singled out and treated differently because of my background and appearance, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome during my internship. Pay was not competitive compared to similar employers. Scheduling was often inconsistent and difficult to plan around. In my experience, HR tended to support store leadership rather than adequately addressing employee concerns. The quality of the internship experience varies greatly depending on the store and management team. There can be resentment from some employees toward interns, particularly from those who were interested in the program but were not selected. Communication, mentorship, and support were not at the level I expected from a company that promotes its internship program so heavily.
