Pros

It's good for people that have no job experience to learn what a job isn't supposed to be like. People were nice I guess?

Cons

1) The job listing claims to be B2B marketing with the goal of "building relationships with customers." It actually entails bringing bags of products into businesses like fast food restaurants, stores and even nursing homes to solicit there. That's literally all the job is! They also claim at interview that it’s not about the sales quotas yet it’s really all about how many bags of makeup you sell each day. Just lies from the beginning. 2)There's so many shady methods practiced at this company. For ex. I was told to go to department stores and pretend we were employees trying to sell the stores' promotions and well to ignore "No Soliciting" signs. Parts of the “training” while out working was how to sneak past cashiers/receptionists towards the back to avoid getting kicked out. There’s also the issue of the pay. 3) Very poor pay for the amount of hours they require. The pay is commission only($7.50 per sale) and there's a cap on how many products you sell in a day which doesn't come close to the $35000 it claims on listing. There is a $400 "security net" so if you don't make more than $400 in commission they'll automatically pay you $400. However if you miss one day of work for any reason, they won't pay you the security net if you end up earning less than $400. 56 hrs at $400 a week is $7.14 an hour. 3) It's a really low-dignity kind of "job" and I felt so embarrassed most of the time I was working. We got kicked out of most of the businesses we stopped by. 4) Zero work life balance. The hours are very long, from 8:15 am to 6:15 pm(usually later) on weekdays and then 6 hours on Saturdays. That's 56 hours a week that's required and they don't even pay you anything but commission! 5)They also usually make you drive very far sometimes to other cities just to solicit at businesses. Each day I had training my group drove out 2-3hr round trip just to bother people at their businesses. No compensation for gas or anything. 5)Finally they brag about how easy it is to move up in the company towards management. I found out your pay never goes up until you become owner of your own location. So you will take on more responsibilities as leader, assistant manager and even manager and still make the $400 security net/commission!

Pros

There’s a lot of career opportunities if you want to be an entrepreneur/owner one day

Cons

1. They have a lot of “positive bs” that they drill you in every day before going out in the field to work. 2. It’s all about how many bags of makeup you sell at a fast pace every day (they make you feel bad if you don’t sell at least 10 bags a day) outside no matter the weather - rain or shine. Your feet will hurt. You will sweat a lot/or get cold depending if it’s summer/winter. 3. I felt embarrassed most of the time working for them because we were soliciting/peddling for a living. Yes, going to stores, restaurants etc and sometimes getting kicked out, but no they say we’re “promoting” the brand. We were salesmen basically (and they are delusional enough to not call themselves that. As a matter of fact, they don’t like it when somebody calls them salesman, but that’s exactly what we were doing! Traditional marketing B2B! 4. The hours are insane during winter it’s 8:30 am till 6 sometimes 7pm. It’s more than 8 hours for six days a week. Some of the leaders in order to get promoted in the program faster work even on Sundays. 5. They give you no compensation as in medical insurance etc because it’s not like corporate America, it’s worse - only few make it to the top in this program.

H3 Concepts Response
8y
We are disappointed that you are left with a negative perception of H3-Concepts. We are glad that you did find some positives during the period. Our goal is to provide the best atmosphere to all who join our team and we are saddened to see your discomfort with our business practices. The team at H3 Concepts would never want their employees to feel uncomfortable and would hope these feelings are expressed to management for a resolution. We offer a variety of different positions based on an individual's skill levels. The compensation plans are discussed during the interview process before joining our team. Sometimes our business model does not suit everyone. Thank you for the time to provide this feedback, it is appreciated and of value.
