Pros
People seem to really try to keep you working when projects end. Got over 4 months of "bench". Pay was a career best...so far. SOME super competent H1B talent that knew how to get things done.
Cons
1/3 super competent, 1/3 utterly incompetent (100% of HR), and 1/3 semi-competent but highly political back stabbers, who are troublemakers for the competent employees. Strong tendency for the Indians to make raging mistakes, then blame the Americans, circle the wagons to do so. Inflexible demands to relocate, rather than embrace telecommuting (one of their VPs wrote about telecommuting, these lower directors didn't get the memo). Utterly useless and incompetent HR, back office, Help Desk. Their reputation of being "only" a cheap Indian outsourcing company is growing. Company still has a scattered startup mentality that is not scalable to their Billion-dollar earnings. To get anything done you have to cc the persons manager, and then THEIR manager typically. High degree of "is not my job" among the indians, zero clear policy of how to get another account while on bench - was told "sit and wait" a LOT.
