Pros

The company has a very solid Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP). When the company was smaller, it had more of a positive and supportive work culture.

Cons

When the company was smaller, it thrived on a positive culture and working environment. However, the recent rapid expansion has brought growing pains. While growth is undoubtedly a sign of success, it should never come at the expense of the employees who played a vital role in achieving it. If the well-being of the workforce is compromised, the work environment can no longer be considered healthy or supportive. I have had better medical and other employee benefits at other employers. I would say benefits were average, or less than average.

Pros

Employee-owned culture makes for a positive, noticeable difference in the general demeanor of employees and management. Base salaries are competitive and work/life balance was outstanding. Many roles are paid salary + straight overtime, which is a great motivator. Lots of interesting project opportunities and some very cool company projects that you can brag about with family and friends (stadiums, iconic bridges, etc.).

Cons

While the ESOP has historically performed quite well, I was disappointed in the 401k match limitations. Growth within the company is definitely political, especially when you are approaching the director and above levels. This is even more true for the mysterious, "When will I get an AVP designation," question, which is incredibly subjective.
