Pros

Decent pay, holidays and benefits, including PTO that rolls over. Able to work remote, hybrid, or in-office.

Cons

Every project is always high demand, there's constantly 'fires' to be put out. Expect a LOT of long days, including weekends for nothing more than sometimes verbal gratitude. Expectations from management are set very high without considering the amount of work. It's always over promise to clients and the employees will just have to do whatever is necessary to deliver the promises made, including working holidays. The turnaround for this job is very high, they mass hire and mass layoff even after promising that won't happen and that there's plenty of work. The structure of hierarchy is very weird and not always transferable from project to project. Often times much lower 'ranking' people will be leading teams and projects, without the title, respect, manager backup or pay. This causes issues with some that have the higher titles to have to answer to them. I was told on multiple occasions that 'we don't have the luxury of training on this program'. It was always a figure it out as you go, build the plane while it's flying. Management tends to promise clients that the company is experts in fields that the company has never attempted before, so the expectation of the employees is to become experts in the subject overnight on their own. They do offer some flex time if you work overtime as a salary employee, but only if you take that time during the same pay period. There was a massive push for the month of June, nobody was allowed to take time off and many worked through a company holiday, with the promise to be able to take that day at a later time. Then it was expected that the day be used the following month, and in the first week of that month. This was them preparing to layoff 29% of the team, and everyone who had built up PTO (because it's hard to take off when you constantly have projects due) just had to lose out on what they won't get paid for. By this i mean that when they lay someone off, they only pay half of the PTO, up to 80 hours.
