When I worked at HTSS I was given clear direction for what I needed to do each day, reasonable expectations were set based on my personal situation for hours/days worked during the week, never had an issue with pay or getting time off with notice

Not much communication on a day-to-day basis, pay was not electronic so you would need to go by the office each payday in order to pick it up
