Immense internal bureaucracy (mainly Japan HQ-side) Zero opportunities for progression for locally employed staff - management positions are reserved only for temporary staff brought in from Japan HQ Poor salary in light of EXCESSIVE business trips (2-4 per month for 2-3 days at a time) Zero care for private engagements - expectation is to drop everything if line manager says so or risk verbal abuse Opinions/suggestions from staff re. improving efficiency or work-life balance are entirely ignored Very little gender balance within trading circle; even less in management positions
