Pay is terrible, HR will provide a 'take home package' where they add your salary with the value of the benefits you get as an employee and have this as your 'take home package.' For reference, my 'take-home package' was £7K more than my salary, as they include the annual discount in HelloFresh boxes you can get if your ordered the largest box for all 52 weeks of the year, around £2K. A discount shouldn't count towards a total pay package, and this was a very sneaky approach they take to make it seem like you are getting more than you are.
There was very little room for growth, they promote people into managerial roles with no people-skills who micro manage. 2 members of my team left directly because of the manager, yet they continued to be promoted.
Managers didn't attempt to lean into your skill set, and support your growth.
Senior leaders are not transparent about what is going on in the wider environment. When I joined there were redundancies in the team, then we were told there wouldn't be anymore in the foreseeable, then 6 months later there were more redundancies in the team. The same response from senior leaders, then 6 months more redundancies, and 6 months after I left, there were even more redundancies (all within the marketing team of around 20 people).
The internal practices made it difficult to understand why they are B-Corp, especially from a marketing perspective as they would work with large fast-fashion companies to grow their audience, and when this was challenged they said this wouldn't fly as a brand partnership but as it isn't promoted to anyone but the customers of these companies this is OK. They are still paying these big brands like BooHoo to promote HelloFresh, and that hardly screams B-Corp.
I wouldn't advise this as a place to work, and if you do beware of redundancies as these were coming every 6 months
