Not the right environment for an intern - Intern Helpsy Health Employee Review

My internship experience was absolutely incredible. I came in expecting to do some simple clinical work or analyze data or research something. Mine was hands-on. San personalized the internship for me and helped me to focus on the area i was interested in. Not only did i learn, I built content in collaboration with world experts and learnt from them. Then San let me do the recordings. What was incredible was that I got to learn behind the scenes how things are done and what decisions need to be considered. san even paid for the video editor to teach me and never asked me for anything in return. Thanks to Helpsy and San, I have my own content that i'm writing and posting.

Did not find any pros at all.

1. The CEO is rude, toxic, arrogant, unprofessional, and terrible at communication. 2. The work they offer is 80% pure busy work and is far from what has been promised in the job description. 3. The way the company operates is probably illegal in the state of California as it clearly violates the criteria of unpaid internships. Nearly the whole work force consists of interns who are being exploited for their free labor. This organization should be immediately reported to the IRS, since I'm pretty sure their work is illegal. In addition, the company harasses interns seeking to leave by threatening legal action. If you are an undergraduate seeking to gain some real world work experience, especially an international student seeking to gain real work experience, do not work here. Trust me, it is not worth it. They will take advantage of you and treat you terribly. One word to describe this company: A SCAM!
