Cons
Department management could use some significant improvement. Give the impression that they are more often concerned with "checking the box" and creating a paper trail than actually implementing and/or following through with meaningful policies or procedures. "Stepping over dollars to save dimes" would epitomize maintenance procedures. Completely reactive in nature. Essentially no major maintenance carried out on essential testing equipment at proper intervals. Getting to the point where personnel safety is a rapidly growing concern. 5S is a buzzword that is thrown around by dept. management when extolling dept. values, but in practice is severely lacking.
