Pros
- First time I've joined a company where I've had immediate 1:1 meetings with upper management to personally welcome me to the company and show their appreciation for my help. - In my first month, I've seen many examples of the company's culture (something I'd normally cringe about). After the endless political drama of the early 2020's, I've wanted to just focus on doing good work. This company truly focuses on doing just that! - Incredibly comfortable work environment. Superb hospitality, respect, and professionalism from all coworkers from within and beyond my own team/department. - Data-driven decision-making in all departments of the business ensures our productivity isn't personal. It's just the facts of what our users want, which is what really matters. Another huge selling point to me in how we avoid bureaucracy and internal politics.
Cons
- An insane amount of meetings. I barely have time to do my actual job. Seems to stem from the company's emphasis on quality, which I fully respect. Very far from the typical "fail fast" mode of most other technology teams, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Just don't want to get into analysis paralysis.
