Pros

Some cool client logos, fun culture (for the most part), unlimited PTO, the idea of what the company is selling is enticing and interesting

Cons

Highlight faces significant challenges in retaining top talent. There have been multiple major exits and layoffs, and dedicated employees are often let go when financial needs arise, regardless of their contributions or dedication. Career advancement seems heavily influenced by favoritism, with growth opportunities often tied to pre-existing relationships with leadership rather than merit. Pay disparities exist among employees performing the same roles, and compensation does not always align with performance or expertise. Additionally, the software is far from meeting the standards required to effectively serve large CPG clients, which poses a major obstacle to the company's long-term success.

Pros

- I get to work with very smart people in a flexible work environment. I control my own schedule to get what I need to get done, done. - Everybody is always looking for better ways of doing things. The team really wants to win. - When I want to get something done, I can ship it or publish instantly - no red tape of bigger companies. Things move fast so I don't get held up and I can maximize my impact.

Cons

There is a ton of change. Like a lot. It is great that we are always improving but it does make things harder to track. We are also in the middle of a software transformation which takes time and adds more complexity to my day job.
